Dr. Liu’s research focus on studying the neural regeneration and neural circuit re-establishment in CNS trauma. Some of findings have been published in Nature Neuroscience, Journal of Neuroscience, Cell Research, EMBO Journal, Cell Discovery, Advanced Functional Materials, Nature Communications, etc. He has received funding from a number of national, provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects (23 projects in total), including National Major Research Project, National Natural Science Foundation key projects, National Major Scientific Research Program (973), National Key Research and Development Plan, Jiangsu Province Key R&D Plan, etc. Furthermore, he holds 7 international and national patents. He won a second prize for provincial and ministerial science and technology progress award. He also contributed to the writing of three scientific books.
