Basic Scientists Summer School

The aim of the course is to promote the next generation of scientists and young clinicians with interest in the latest advances of clinical and preclinical disciplines in Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders; to create a common language and generate ideas that will allow development of translational research projects by the next generation researchers in Parkinson disease and movement disorders. This course will attract more young clinicians and scientist focusing on Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders in the future.
This course consists of morning expert lectures and afternoon group discussion sections. Lectures included scientific topics on faculty research, clinical knowledge of Parkinson and movement disorders, and some topic on “how to write, submit, review and revise a scientific paper”, “how to propose a project”, and “how to make an oral presentation” and so on. As participants present their individual research they will get the opportunity to interact with faculty and peers. All the participants have chance to discuss with faculty members on basic science and clinical practice of Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders during cross talk section. Recommended Audience
This course is recommended for young general neurologists, young movement disorder specialists, graduate students, post-doctoral students and junior scientists who are younger than 40 years old.
